Hi I'm Christy

I'm a wife, a sports lover, and my children's biggest fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy mother of 6 beautiful children! My life pretty much revolves around them, but I also love to lace up my shoes most mornings and run! I enjoy ball games, tennis, skiing, and most of all - just hanging out with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion took place in my home where I was brought up by parents who loved the Savior Jesus Christ and strived to serve Him and to be like Him. I learned at an early age of the love that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ has for me. I know that I am a daughter of God and that knowledge has been a source of great strength, comfort and peace throughout my life. I know that I can pray to my Heavenly Father and that He hears me and will answer my prayers. I know I am important to Him. I depend upon Him each day to help give me guidance and direction in my life as well as comfort and peace in difficult times. As I grew up, I came to know the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through living its teachings, obedience to the commandments and having faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement. I am so grateful to have the Gospel in my life and to teach these things to my children. Most of all, the Gospel has brought my so much joy and happiness in my life and to the lives of my family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ in my daily life. Some of the ways I do this is by studying the scriptures each day personally as well as with my family each morning. We attend church meetings on Sunday and then strive to practice and incorporate those principles into our lives. Reading the scriptures, daily prayer and teaching children are the foundation of our family. Our life is very busy, filled with all kinds of activities from sports, music lessons, school, church, etc, but we have found that if we put the the most important things first, everything else falls into place or falls out of our lives. Our oldest son is serving a two-year mission in Argentina for our church. We all miss him terribly, but know that he is doing what the Lord wants him to do by serving the people there and teaching them about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. Our second son will be leaving on a similar mission in a few months to Chile. It is not easy, but I am grateful to show the Lord in some way of our gratitude for all that He has blessed us with and to show our love and commitment to Him.
