Hi I'm Julius Johnson

I am a student at Brigham Young University, studying sociology. I have served a two year volunteer mission in Congo, Africa.

About Me

I am a student at BYU Provo, currently I am finishing my sophomore year in the sociology program. I completed a two year mission in Congo, Africa. Now I work with a non-profit, Seeing is Believing, to help provide free eye-care to people in Cameroon, Africa. I am engaged to a wonderful young lady!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I have seen the blessings that come from following the commandments. I appreciate the atonement that Christ performed, and know that by living the gospel I can return to live with Heavenly Father. Ive also found that the scriptures contain truth from God. By gaining a testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith I have learned about the complete truth of the restored gospel. Knowing the priesthood has been restored and that its power is used by the prophet down to the blessing of the sacrament. In the simpliest terms, I know this Church is true and is led by prophets called of God. I know the Book of Mormon conatins the fulness of the teachings of Christ, along side the Bible. I know Joseph Smith saw God and Christ. I know all these things because I have asked, experienced and prayed for myself.

How I live my faith

While I was in high school I attended seminary. Now that I am in college I take religion classes to continue progressing my understanding of the gospel of Christ. I faithfully read my scriptures and strive to fulfill my callings in the Church. In the most basic form of living the gospel I keep all the commandments of God and try to renew my faith in Him daily.
