Hi I'm Karoline

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up with four sisters and no brothers was never a difficult challenge just an interesting one. Oh we've had our fair share of fights over clothes, shoes, Barbie dolls, and other miscellaneous knickknacks but that's the beauty of living mostly with women. Honestly I don't know how my dad did it! A lot of patience and a strong will. He loved it though, my dad was the best man for the job. No one could have raised five little girls better than he has. I know that everyone thinks they have the best parents in the whole world and I guess I'm one of them. My dad and mom are two of the best people you'll ever meet. They have a way about them as they work together on projects around the house, for their jobs, or church-related events that is so harmonious. Their determination and fervor to get the job done and do it to the best of their abilities is inspiring. Truly this family is special. The experiences we have shared alone are enough to make anyone jealous. Living near the nation's capital with a father who loved to give tours of the national sites to everyone and anyone who was interested was a real treat. A year in Norway was an unbelievable experience that brought our family together as we explored a new language and culture that we still cherish to this day. And all of the trips we have embarked upon have been the highlight of the memories that I have as I have grown up. We have something that some can only dream about and I am eternally grateful to be a part of it.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a home that lives the standards of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. It is not easy being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints "a Mormon". But I would never trade what I have for anything; because, my knowledge and understanding of the Gospel is my most precious possession. My testimony is real and true, though small and simple, it is firm. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father. I know that He loves me and is aware of my needs and the desires of my heart. He has an eternal plan, it is perfect, it truly is a plan of happiness. I know He sent His only begotten son my Savior Jesus Christ to come to this world and atone for the sins of the world. I know that my Savior loves me. He loves me so much that He sacrificed everything for me and every single one of Heavenly Father's children here on the earth. Families are forever and I know that if we are righteous and live according to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we can live with our families forever in an eternal Heaven. I know we each have a divine purpose and a potential here on this earth. I will do everything that I can each and everyday to live up to that potential, because I know that if I do I will be eternally blessed for it. Being a Mormon is fun. Being a Mormon is challenging. Being a Mormon is worth it.

How I live my faith

I know exactly who I am and what I am doing on this earth. I see the world from a different perspective than many not of my faith. I did not come to this earth just to gain a body and exist on this world for nothing, I am here because I chose to be here. I chose God's plan, the plan of happiness. His plan is not easy but it is simple. It is so simple because all He requires of us is to follow His plan. I know that I am not perfect, I am far from it but that is the beauty of the atonement of Jesus Christ. If I make a mistake then He is there to lift me up and help me along my way. It just requires some faith and a lot of courage. Sometimes, well a lot of the time, I forget that. But I keep trying each and every day. I try to remember to maintain an eternal perspective especially when times are hard or when life is discouraging. I find comfort in daily prayer and in studying the scriptures. I seek any opportunity I can to serve the brothers and sisters in my singles Ward and magnify my responsibilities as a leader, a teacher, and a friend. Each day I try to remember to believe in myself and continually seek to be better, to live better, and to do better.
