Hi I'm Stacie

Hi I live in Mesa, Az. and I am a divorced father of three. I am pretty much the average guy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am 44 year old single father of three, I am divorced and plan to remarry, but being single and divorced makes me somewhat of an anomaly in the mormon church. I do several things that fill my bucket. I enjoy working out at the the gym, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, thai food, and spending time with my children. I work in the hazardous waste field, I manage other peoples hazardous waste. Its not glamorous but it pays the bills. I struggle from time to time financially but in faith I plunge forward. I have found that you can never give up in your struggles whatever they may be.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church and never really questioned my faith until I was in my teens. Girls and parties were much more interesting than going to church. I was in my freshman year of highschool and I was wrestling and going to church before school (seminary). Part of wrestling is losing weight in order to make your weight class. The going without food or starving myself coupled with early morning church caused me to look reflectively at my life and the path I was taking. I began reading the Book of Mormon and wondering if it was true. Were all the the things I had been taught since my youth true? I had friends that informed me that I was not a Christain according to their religion and beliefs. I struggled for a while but eventually did as the Bible says in James 1:5-6, I took the matter to God as I had been taught to do. I wish I could say I had an angel show up or a voice from heaven but I did not. Regardless, I persisted in my desire to know and as my desire to know grew my commitement to keep the commandments increased. I began to feel an increased amount of peace in my life and knew that the path I was taking was right. I began to read the Book of Mormon and feel our Heavenly Father spirit and I knew at that piont that it was true. If the Book of Mormon was the word of God then Joseph Smith was a prophet and the the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saint was true.

How I live my faith

I am affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America. I work with the 16 to 18 year old yound men. I love working with the youth and enjoying thier view point it keeps me young. I enjoy being a mentor for them and positive roll model in their lives.
