Hi I'm Sam

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, My name is Sam. I live in Thornton CO. I am married to a wonderful wife and have 3 beautiful children who can be a handful at times and a complete joy most of the time. I love living in Colorado and all the beauty and activities that abound here. I love snowboarding, mountain biking, camping or hiking. I really enjoy playing basketball once a week at the church with friends. I am a Senior Financial Analyst at a health care company. I also am avid reader of business and investing books and articles. I am very interested in business and finance and looking at potential business opportunities. I also enjoy looking for quality investments, making my own investment decisions and beating the S&P. I am also active in my church as a Mormon. I grew up in the church and my parents gave me a good spiritual foundation. Currently, in my church calling, I am involved with the scouting program with our youth. I love this because of all the activities we get to do in scouting with the youth. I love life and have been blessed with a great family. I look forward to life’s challenges and opportunities and want to live life to its fullest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon becuase I have a strong belief in Jesus Christ, and I have found that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, teaches us more about Christ and helps us draw nearer to him than in any other church. In this church we are taught that Jesus is the literal son of God and a separate being than God the Father. We are taught that the Holy Ghost is the 3rd member of the Godhead and functions as a spirit being without a body. This church believes that we all lived with God in Heaven before we came here to earth and will one day return to him. Heavenly Father has a plan for us collectively and individually. Thus, the purpose of this life is to come and receive a body and to be tested and to learn and grow from life's experience. This life is just a small moment compared to the grand eternity. The teachings in this church are profound and true and yet simple. So many answers to life's questions are found in this church. It fills in all of the worlds unanswered questions about where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going after this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do the best I can. I try and treat everyone both in my faith and out with the kind of respect and friendship that I would like to receive. I believe in being honest with my fellow man and working hard. I believe in personal responsibility and also striving to help others. I believe that serving my fellow man is the best thing I can do here on earth and I should constantly look for ways to serve others.
