Hi I'm Nancy

I'm a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Midwest girl growing up in Kansas and currently living in Nebraska. In between I have lived in several states and Germany as my husband was in the Army for 22 years. I am the mother of two boys and two girls and the grandmother of seven boys and two girls. I love listening to and making music, reading, sewing, and college football especially the Nebraska Huskers and BYU Cougars.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where my mother was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and my father was a member of a different church. They always respected each others' religious beliefs. When I was very young, I attended church with each of my parents. Then when I was about eight, I started attending church just with my mother. I feel like I have always known that my Heavenly Father loves me and that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I've known that the plan of salvation, where we lived with our Heavenly Father before we came to this earth and that through Jesus Christ we can live with Him again, is true. The belief I had as a child has grown over the years as I have read and studied the scriptures daily, tried to live my life following the example of Jesus, and tried to keep the commandments. I have not always been successful, but each day brings the opportunity to repent and continue trying.

How I live my faith

While raising our children, I volunteered in their schools and in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. I have also had many opportunities to serve in the church working with the children, youth, adult women, and through music. I currently serve in the Family History Center that is open to public where we help people research their ancestors. I also serve in the Winter Quarters Temple in Omaha.
