Hi I'm Symone

I enjoy sports, motherhood and the outdoors. I teach music to children in my home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have four children. I enjoy staying at home with them. Being a mother has been the most challenging and most rewarding thing I've ever done. I feel so blessed to be able to spend this time with them. I finished college with a degree in music. I've been able to use that degree as I teach children in our home. I enjoy exercising, reading, games, friends, food, and relaxing.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church. But as I got older I knew that I couldn't just go through the motions or rely on the testimony of my parents. I needed to know for myself. I remember a camping trip where I went in the woods to pray to know if the Church was true. After a while, I had this warmth come over me and the thought that I've always known it's true. I still know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it testifies of Jesus Christ. I know Jesus Christ died for me so that I may return to live with Him again. I know He loves me.

How I live my faith

I am a music teacher in our community. I believe that music can bring feelings of peace, joy and love. I also believe it can be used to bring the opposite feelings. I try to tell my students that when they use their musical talent for good and share it with others. They are helping others feel God in their lives. I also work with the young women ages 12-18. I help plan weekly acitivites for them to get closer to Jesus Christ. Some are spiritual and some are good wholesome fun. Both types of activites can be uplifiting and positive. I also teach a lesson to them on Sundays at church. These opportunites to teach the girls that Heavenly Father loves them, that He values them, and that He wants them to be happy are priceless.
