Hi I'm Trevor

I'm a student, I'm a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Trevor. I am a college student, studying Saxophone Performance. I love music. As I have grown and learned more about music, I have learned to love it even more. I have broadened my skills and I am now able to play several instruments, including the piano, clarinet flute, and evn the piccolo. I have found that as I dedicate my talents toward helping others and trying to add a little brightness to the day of someone who may be going through a tough time, it brings genuine happiness into my life as well. The power of music is incredible. I believe music is a gift form God to help us to feel and understand His love for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have found it to be the single greatest and most reliable way to be happy in life. I grew up as apart of this church, but I haven't always followed its teachings the way I knew I should have. Over time, I discovered that I wasn't as happy as I used to be. As I have tried to turn my life back toward God and to follow His teachings more closely, I have regained that happiness. I'm a Mormon because I know that this church is the true Church of Jesus Christ on the Earth today, and that it contains the full Gospel: everything we need to know to be truly happy in this life, and to give us confidence even through trials and struggles. The things I have been taught here have helped me as I have prepared to live life on my own as an adult. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that His hand is outstretched toward anyone who is willing to take hold.

How I live my faith

This Gospel has brought me so much joy in my life, that I have a strong desire to help others to learn about it. I have volunteered two years of my life to teach people the good news about Jesus Christ and to help them understand that God really does love them and that they can be forgiven of the meistakes they've made in their lives. As a missionary, I get to meet people from all walks of life, and it has helped me to learn that This Gospel and this Chruch is for everyone, no matter who you are, where you come from, or what your background is. I live my faith by helping others to have the same joy I have gained through Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only way to know of the truth of things you've learned is to ask the ultimate source of truth, God. The scriptures tell us several times that if we lack wisdom or need to know something, we should ask God and he will reveal the answer to us if we ask, having faith that we will receive. As you sincerely seek the truth and ask God in prayer, He will answer you by the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost most often speaks to us though our feelings. In Galatians 5:22 we learn that feelings of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith are all directly from God. If you feel these things as you study the Gospel read the Book of Mormon, or pray, you can be assured of the truth of what you are doing. Show more Show less
