Hi I'm Alyona

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Ukrainian who studies creative writing and is the only lds in my family. My name is Alyona and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was curious about religion and since I was a child I would ask questions, but people around me could not answer them and I kept wondering. When I was fourteen I was introduced to the Book of Mormon in Russian. I read some of it and really liked it, but there were no branches of the church in my hometown. When I turned 17 I moved to a bigger city where I met missionaries and came to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the first time. I got a strong testimony that the church is true through my dreams and later through miracles I saw in my life. It may be very hard and challenging to convert and change a lot of things in life but it did bless my life in so many ways: my relationships with family members and friends got even better, fake friends disappeared from the view and I focused on what's really important. I'm a Mormon because I know this church is true and because my religion makes sense to me.

How I live my faith

I try to learn more through scriptures, I help my little sister with school. The best I can do is help people around me, be more loving and accepting. I never pressured my family to go to church with me but they know how I live and they know they can ask me questions anytime they want. I respect their choices and expect them to respect mine. I'm there to lift them up and help them when they need me.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Alyona
We believe that each of us is very important and as children of God we are protected and loved by Him. Our purpose in this life is to grow spiritually and mentally. Not even having physical proves of spiritual we know through our faith the importance of our bodies, identifying good and bad and loving people around us and loving our Father in Heaven Show more Show less
