Hi I'm Mandi

I am a mom of two amazing kids. I am married to an awesome Rocker/CPA. I am an actor, singer/songwriter. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time child wrangler of two of the cutest children in the world. I wear a lot of different hats in a day; cook, chauffeur, maid, seamstress, decorator, personal shopper, tutor, volunteer, wife, and most important mom. I love to sing, act, sew, decorate, bake, shop, and spend time with friends. This past year I have become involved with a local community theater and my children's PTSO at school. My husband and I met 10 years ago at an open mic and we both still love to perform together even if our audience is just the kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God loves his children and would not leave us in the dark. I know that God speaks to man through his servants, mainly his prophets and apostles that are on the earth today. My family is the most important thing to me and I want to be with them forever. I know that this is possible through Christ that this world is not the end. I have to know that there is more than this mortal life, the Church of Jesus Christ gives me that comfort and knowledge. I am grateful to belong to a church that believes in the importance of the family and puts the family first.

How I live my faith

I have been a Mormon my whole life and I have had the opportunity to serve in many different ways. I have been a door greeter who shook hands with all those who came to worship on Sundays. I have worked in the nursery teaching toddlers songs about Jesus and also taught several different children's Sunday school classes. It is a blessing to teach children of God's love for them. One of my favorite times serving has been with the youth of our church ages 12-18. They gave me hope for my children's future, to know that we can still raise righteous children in our world today. I am currently the activities chair for the PTSO at my children's school and really enjoy helping support the teachers in all they do. I also volunteer my time and energy to a local theater company where I get to meet some amazing people. My life would not be complete with out serving the Lord and those around me. This last month as a group of women we collected supplies to create family night kits for a local women's shelter. The women who live there have escaped abusive and threatening situations with their families. I really felt compelled to help thinking that these kits could bring a bit of joy to their lives as they are rebuilding a new future. I live my faith by trying to act as my Savior, Jesus Christ would. I try to follow his commandments, I make mistakes as we all do but with his atonement I can repent and try again.
