Hi I'm Holly

I am a mom of 5 teenagers, a 11 and 10 yr old, a married daughter, a good son in law, and the sweetest grandson. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time Mom, and love it. My husband and I were blessed with 8 children in 10 yrs. Our family loves to camp, ride ATV's, boat, hike, cycle, ride horses, basically anything outdoors! Our most favorite pastime, (favorite because it make the ones I previously mentioned more enjoyable) is working together!

Why I am a Mormon

Mormon children can get baptized after they are 8 years old. The night before I was baptized, when I was 8, I knelt in bed and said a prayer asking Heavenly Father if the Mormon Church was truly His church and was Joseph Smith His prophet. To this day I can still remember the wonderful feelings that went through my body! That was the beginning of journey as a full member of Christ’s Church. As a mom of teenagers I am so grateful for the guidance and teachings the Church gives. It is helpful to me when my teenagers says, “Everyone else is doing it”. I can say, “But what is the Lords standard?” It has helped my teenagers to have high standards knowing that this life has purpose. That is to prepare to live with God again. God sent his Son, Jesus Christ to atone for our sins and make resurrection possible for everyone! Christ is my example. Our family centers on Him. I know this is His Church! I know God speaks to Prophets today. The words the prophets speak help keep my family safe in these troubled times.

How I live my faith

I have not done anything great or amazing. I’m just trying to do my best to follow my savoir Jesus Christ. I’m trying to raise my children to be good citizens. The Mormon Church has given me opportunities to serve others in so many ways. I and my family have helped prepare food and supplies for humanitarian aid. We have worked at the welfare farm digging out ditches and hoeing weeds!! I have had opportunities to teach Sunday school lessons and to serve in a nursery so others can attend Sunday school. I’ve helped plan wholesome activities for teenagers, including going camping, repelling, canoeing, swimming, hiking and horseback riding. My membership in the Mormon Church gives me all the tools I need spiritual, temporal and emotional to have a happy life with my husband and children!
