Hi I'm Paula

I am a total klutz, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I want to pull off "cool", I really do! Unfortunately, its just not in the cards for me. The truth is, most days I will settle for making it through the day without a bruise, bump or a trip to the Emergency Room. As a child, I spent a lot of time having stitches put in my head, and now that I am grown and have a husband and 3 kids, there is rarely a day that goes by without at least band aids involved. I have learned well in my life that truly "whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger!" Despite my affinity for injury, which probably should in some way deter me, I LOVE life! I love to be involved with everything going on around me. I love to play sports, be outdoors, listen to, and play music, scrapbook, and definitely eat. I even like to clean! (I know...one too many bumps to the head.) But most of all, I love to do all of these things with my family and friends. Having kids has been a great way for me to get to do all of the things I loved as a child all over again! I find that I am most fulfilled and content when I am with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents converted to the LDS church shortly after they got married. So I was born and raised in the church. I continue my membership in the church for many reasons, but the most important is that I believe this is the same church that was on the earth when Christ lived. I believe it to be the true, and full gospel that Christ taught. Its hard to tell someone WHY you believe. All I know for sure, is that when I put into practice the teachings of the gospel, I have more peace, contentment, and real happiness in my everyday life. It makes me want to be a better mother, wife, and friend. It doesn't matter what is going on at any given point in my life. Whether there are hardships or difficulties, (and there are plenty), the gospel and its teachings help me to have hope and happiness in any situation. I am able to see the path that the Lord has set out for me. I know that I am not ever alone, that Christ loves me, and cares for me. That is why I am a member of the church.

How I live my faith

I love to be involved in my community and church, and like have an opportunities to provide service when needed. I currently work with the youth in my church ages 12-18. I teach the youth, and help to plan and implement activities and projects for the them to participate in. I am involved in school and sports with my own kids, and keep plenty busy racing them to and from events and activities. But as busy as life gets, my husband and I make sure that we are taking time to spend with our own family. Reading scriptures, praying, and going to church always help us to stay focused on the things that matter the most.
