Hi I'm Trina

I'm a wife, a mother of one, and a killer bread maker, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I just recently became a mother. My daughter is beautiful and perfect and LOVE being her mommy. My husband is still doing the school thing, working towards that degree. I work part time but we all get to spend our evenings together. I enjoy baking and cooking for my husband (my little girl isn't into solid foods just yet). I love to try new recipes, but my bread is by far the thing I do best. The best part about making bread (besides eating it nice and warm out of the oven) is that by adding a little of this or some of that it changes my bread recipe into pizza dough, bread sticks, pita bread, dinner rolls and it makes my house smell heavenly!! I also enjoy making cards for all occasions, and making jewelry. But one of my favorite things to do is sit down and play games, board games, card games, dice games, or outdoor games like soccer, volleyball, or ultimate whatever it is count me in. I love being around other people so I can get to know them and have fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church, and so have my parents, so you might say that I am a Mormon because my parents are. The truth is I am Mormon because I want to be. There were times in my life that I wasn't following the right path and made wrong decisions that lead me further from the truth. One day I realized where I was and how far I had strayed and knew I had to make a change and fast. After years of studying and asking and praying I know that I am getting closer to my Heavenly Father and that He has had a plan for me. I am leaning on Him and He is helping me to understand who I am and why I am here. My testimony didn't come in one big moment but in several hundred little moments that have made me who I am. I know the Savior lives and loves me. I know the priesthood is real and that my husband holds and honors it. I know that families can be together forever. I know that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again. I know that my prayers are heard and answered. The heavens are open and the Prophet is called of God, and speaks for Him. I know that through the Atonement I can be made whole! That is what makes life worth living, knowing I have someone who will never fail me and never let me down.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life I have served in several different areas in the church and learned to work with all kind of people. One of my favorite things to do is to teach. I love being able to see people's faces when something has changed within them because I know what that feels like. I know that when someone teaches with the holy spirit that the people listening will learn and hear what they need to hear through the spirit.

What is being a Mormon like?

Since I have been a Mormon all of my life it is hard to separate out what it is Mormon and what is me. All I know is when I am following the teachings of Jesus Christ and following the standards of the church I am happy, truly happy. When I think, "my family and I will be together forever" I am filled with the purest form of happiness and love. Show more Show less
