Hi I'm Jace

I'm a disc-golfer. I'm a concert goer. I'm a movie lover. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am your average kind of guy I guess. I am from Idaho originally. I played football, basketball, and tennis throughout high school. A big hobby I picked up my senior year at high school was playing disc golf with my friends. I love it, and hope it is something I will be able to enjoy throughout my life, and maybe someday join the PDGA tour. I love music and movies. My favorite artist is probably Mayday Parade. They are amazing. I love going to concerts, especially Warped Tour. Warped is like Christmas to me! And I have to admit...I am also a big fan of Taylor Swift. I honestly think she is an incredible song writer! For a while I had a job writing movie reviews for the college newspaper which was sweet. I love all movies basically. I don't even know if I could choose a few as my favorites! They are all just great I guess! As of right now I hope to major in college in English with an emphasis in creative writing. I love to write. I'm not exactly sure what kind of writing I want to pursue yet, but I have been puting a lot of thought towards screenwriting. So I guess we will see where life takes me! I have a wonderful family and some incredible friends. I love them all so much. They all mean the world to me. I guess that's about it!

Why I am a Mormon

In all honesty, I was raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So really, the main reason I am a member is that's what I was raised with. But of course, like everyone, as I grew older I had to decide for myself if this was what I wanted in my life. In all honesty, there never was a single "life changing moment" that made me know for sure that this church is true. It all came gradually over time, and I am so grateful it did. So I guess the answer to "Why I'm still a Mormon?" would have to be because of what I know. First and foremost, I know that Jesus is the Christ. He is the only Begotten of the Father in the flesh, and He is who the prophets of old prophesied would come. He is the Savior and Redeemer of mankind, and it is only through his grace and mercy that we can be saved. He paid the price, and as we continually follow his teachings and repent of our sins, we can have eternal life. I also know that I am a son of God, and He loves me. He is my Father in Heaven. He wants me to return to Him, just like He wants all of His children to return to Him. He has a plan for all of us, and He has revealed that plan to His children through prophets time and time again. He has provided a way back to Him. He has called prophets in these latter days. He called Joseph Smith to restore His Gospel in its fullness to the Earth. He did all of this, because He loves us so much, and wants all of us to be happy, just like any father wants his children to be happy. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true church restored to the Earth today. Jesus Christ is my savior and I am Eternally grateful to him. I hope and pray that I may be able to live my life the way He has showed us to live. I pray that I may have the faith to follow His example, and always do the will of the Father.

How I live my faith

In the most simple of terms, I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ. We are supposed to follow him, so that is what I try to do. I do my best to stand as a witness of him at all times. Like everyone, I mess up. Unfortunately, I mess up a lot. But through Christ I can overcome my weaknesses and become better each day. I love the Lord, and as Christ counseled, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." I show my love for Him when I keep the commandments. I know that being obedient to Him at all times is what will really bring me the most happiness.
