Hi I'm Riley

I like to be in the country. I love the beach. I play soccer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a fairly small family and I only have one little sister and my parents. I have always loved going to the beach so I travel down to Florida alot to go fishing and just relax on the beach with friends and family. I enjoy being outdoors so I like riding down dirt roads and through the country on my dirt bike. I have attended 3 semesters of college and I am majoring in communications specifically in radio broadcasting. I always aim to have a good time no matter what I have to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the heart of the "Bible Belt" which made things a little bit difficult to be a religious minority in school and everything else. When I was young I claimed to be a Mormon and would sometimes be rebuked for it by older people and I never understood why they were so hostile towards someone else who believed in Jesus Christ. I understand that we have our differences with other faiths but even at I young age I knew the teachings of Christ and I tried my best to follow in His footsteps. I stumbled along the way but I feel that I did my best in following his example. My dad was baptized into this church right before I was born and I am a Mormon now because of the signicant decision he made to change his life for the better. It is so comforting to know that the windows of Heaven are not closed and that God not only hears us but he speaks to us as well. I know that God loves me and that he loves everyone else who are my brothers and sisters when you look at the big picture. I know that God put me in my family to help them and to be helped by them and that he blesses us every single day no matter where we are or what we do.

How I live my faith

I just try to teach by example. Its as simple as that. If you're going to talk the talk you need to walk the walk. I know that people notice my actions and they know what I stand for so so i do my best to be a good example to my peers. I'm not a Bible scholar or anything like that but I can pray and I can encourage others to do the same when they are in need of some help or are thankful for something. In my ward I was a ward greeter so I just welcomed everyone into the ward as they walked in and was the first person to meet new faces and visitors. I really enjoyed that because I love talking to people and my ward is like my second family because we are all so close and supportive of one another.
