Hi I'm Megan

I'm a wife, a full time Mommy, and creative gal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Washington State. I grew up in a fairly large Mormon family. We loved to spend time together camping, playing games, and going on hikes. I was always thankful to have so many siblings, and parents who were such amazing examples. I graduated from a local Community College in High School, through a program called Running Start. After two months at BYU-I, I ended up coming home and getting engaged to my best friend, who had recently joined the Military and would be leaving for training the following year. We got married a few months later and immediately started our family. Nearly 6 wonderful years later, we have three beautiful children. We love life! My family means everything to me. They make every day something special and satisfying. I love to craft and decorate our cute little home on the side. I am amazed every day, and thankful for what my Father in Heaven has blessed me with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by parents who were very faithful Latter Day Saints (Mormons.) They taught me the basic principles of the gospel. They taught me to be a good person, to be honest, spiritual, and morally clean. These are the principles that helped to shape who I was, and what I stood for. We read the scriptures regularly as a family. As I grew, I began to learn things on my own. I went to church every Sunday, and attended a Seminary class my High School years. I studied the scriptures on my own. I prayed for guidance every day. The lord blessed me with a testimony that was not easily shaken. Although life has had its hard moments, the knowledge I have through gospel sustains me through those difficult times. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am thankful to have a Living Prophet of God who is able to guide us through these troubled times in our world. Everything I believe just feels so right. It brings satisfaction and comfort to me, knowing WHY I am here, and WHAT I am to do in this life on Earth.

How I live my faith

I live my life trying to be better. I know I have SO many things to learn still, and sometimes life can seem so overwhelming. But I am so thankful for the amazing examples around me in my local Ward Family. I am thankful for good friends who encourage me, and lift me on difficult days. I attend church every Sunday with my sweet little family. My children love to go to their classes! I teach them about reverence, and about Jesus while at home. My husband and I read scriptures with them each day, just as my parents did with me as a child. I also serve the young girls in our ward through a program called Activity Days. We plan evenings for them to learn new skills. Some of these include service projects for people who are in need. It is such a blessing to serve those around me. It brings a sense of peace and satisfaction that I can not get any other way. Every day brings new blessings and challenges as I try to become the Woman my Heavenly Father intends for me to be.
