Hi I'm April

I'm a medical miracle, I'm a jeep-lover, I fight negativity. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

On the weekends you will find me with my awesome husband on a river, spey-casting my flyfishing rod, driving my jeep on sick trails, watching football, laughing, packing a fat-free picnic, and chillin with the fam. On the weekdays, at all hours, I am on the computer working with people all over the world to deploy programs aimed at measuring marketing investment returns.

Why I am a Mormon

The message is so joyful and full of hope: As C.S. Lewis said "We are not humans on a spiritual journey, We are spirits on a human journey". There is more to this life than careers, travel, and wrinkles. Our Heavenly Father wants us to live with him after this life, and this is possible because Jesus Christ atoned for each persons sins, yours and mine. This allows us return to Heavenly Father's presence after our time on this earth. Families are eternal and I know this to be true, you will see your loved ones again. What a joyful message! I gained a strong testimony while undergoing a series of surgeries and facing death at a young age. Through the tests and pain I was comforted and strengthened by Christ who is my brother. He had felt the same pain I had and I felt Him close to me at all times. I was able to recover and overcome these physical trials and am grateful and stronger because of my struggles. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is full of people who are striving to live worthy of all the blessings and miracles God has already given them. We have have so much to be thankful for!

How I live my faith

Each Sunday I get to teach the small children about Jesus and His love for them. These spirits are so innocent and receptive to feeling the Holy Spirit, I am always touched. My faith is lived each day, as I pray throughout the day for strength, in gratitude, or in need. After I was baptized I was given the gift of the Holy Ghost so I am able to be prompted so I can be guided by Heavenly Father to make the right decisions. Some call it their conscience but God loves us too much to leave us to go on our own. Ask for help, He is there.
