Hi I'm Rob

I grew up in California. I am a sales rep for a footwear company. I love to spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to the greatest woman in the world! I have three wonderful children-- ages 13, 11, and 9. Spending time with my family is the most important thing to me. I love the outdoors, and enjoy hiking and fly fishing. I play a lot of sports, but golf and basketball are at the top of the list. We love living in Colorado because of its beauty and the abundant opportunities to hike and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16 years old, my mom died of cancer. I had so many questions about life and its purpose. Although I grew up a Mormon, I looked around to find those answers-- other religions, counseling, and the ways of the world. But I found those answers through the Book of Mormon and the teachings of the Mormon church. I prayed to know that this things I was taught are true, and God answered my prayers! He told me that by following his plan of Salvation, families can be together forever-- and that I will one day be reunited with my mother. I know that this is true, and want to be with my wife and children forever. So I try to live my life so that we can be an eternal family!

How I live my faith

I am very active in my local congregation. Currently, I work with people learning about the church-- I help them to find the answers they are searching for. I teach a class every Sunday about the basic doctrines of the Mormon church. I also support and work with our Boy Scout troop-- and go on camp outs whenever possible. I enjoy helping to organize activities, like the 4th of July breakfast we had this year. I also like to be involved with the community by coaching youth sports. I have coached baseball, flag football, and soccer. I like to motivate kids to play hard and to be their best!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Rob
Every person wants to know if what they believe and God and religion is true! There is a simple way to know-- ask him! In the book of James in the Bible, He has promised in the scriptures that if we "lack wisdom" that we should "ask of God." He will answer our prayers if we are willing to listen. I may not be a huge production-- but the Holy Ghost will give you feelings in your heart that you will recognize and will help you to know that he has answered your prayer. I did it-- I asked God and he answered my prayer. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Rob
After we die, I believe that we will be resurrected-- that our spirit will re-enter our body and that we will live forever. If we have followed our Heavenly Father's Plan for us, we can live with our families forever. Show more Show less
