Hi I'm Khris

I was born in Portland Oregon and raised in Utan. I am a mother of three daughters and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 3 daughters. I have been married for 17 years. I love my job working for the local grade school. My life has been hard, God didnt make it that way, I did. The love I have felt from the Lord and toward the Lord comes each day as I try to live the standards of the church. I'm not going to lie, my life experances some times hinder me. But I know through the divine gift that our Savior gave to me I will one day be saved. Family History has become a big part of my life. It is so fun to go and look for the people in my past. The church offers great programs to help you also connect with your past. And you dont even have to be a member to use these services. God loves us all, no matter the mistakes we make in life. learn to forgive yourself that is the greatest gift you can give to you. Only you can offer that gift to yourself.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I want to be. I have struggled all my life trying to decide if this was the church for me. Now that I am older and can see the change it makes in my life I would not pick an other church. I am a member because I believe in a living Prophet. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, he didnt do it himself, he did it through the power and spirit of God. We can have that same spirit with us each day if we will pray, read our scriptures and stick close to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. The thing I like the best is we are all there for each other. I have a chance to help clean someones house, I can take a meal in to a family in need. In turn if I need the help it is there. Serving others is the best way I can live my faith. After all Jesus served the people when he was on the earth so why would I be asked to do anything less.
