Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Colorado. I am currently studying physics and engineering. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now, I am studying engineering physics and mechanical engineering at a university. I am almost an Eagle Scout (just waiting for paperwork to be submitted) and I have been in scouting since I was 8 years old. I love the outdoors, and get in as much hiking and camping as I can. Between studying, video games, and being outside, I am rarely bored.

Why I am a Mormon

I distinctly remember being baptized when I was 8 years old. It was one of the most spiritual moments of my life. A few weeks before, I earnestly prayed, asking God if the church was true. I remember clearly the Holy Spirit testifying to me that it was. In recent years, I have had good times and rough ones. But I can always count on the Lord to help me. I have felt the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and because I heeded them, I am where I am today. Because of the decision to get baptized, I have been greatly blessed.

How I live my faith

Attending church on Sunday is a high point of my week. It is so great to be able to be spiritually refreshed, and ready to take on the upcoming week's challenges. But church on Sunday is not the only thing I do. It is a lot of fun to be able to hang out with other Mormon students at potlucks and other events. Being able to associate with other people who have high standards is very nice.
