Hi I'm Holly Jewell

I'm from California/Colorado/Utah/Idaho. I'm a nanny in Connecticut and I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I'm a person just like you! I love all sports! Watching, playing, I love it all. I love my family and like to hang out and go to movies. Currently I am working as a nanny. I love my job! It's really the best job that I have ever had...and I've had a few! I'm excited to be here in Connecticut! I've always always wanted to live out here on the east coast and particularly in the New England area! So I guess you could say, I am living my dream! I am a Graphic Designer. I design wedding invitations, birth announcements...stuff like that. All print work. I live for that moment when I can hand the finished work over to the bride and just see her huge smile, knowing I made her one perfect day just a little bit better. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church but my family wasn't always very active. I've had my ups and downs in life just like anyone and a couple years ago I really just had no idea what was going on around me. I wanted to figure out where I was going in life and I didn't know where to begin. I figured I'd start with going back to church. It was something that was fairly familiar to me so it seemed safe. My bishop helped me to get back on the right track. And I've really grown as a person and my testimony has all but sky rocketed! We all go through troubles and hardships everyday, and we all make mistakes, we're human. What keeps me going everyday is knowing that I have a Father in Heaven and a Savior who love me and are there for me each day. I know that I am not now and can never be perfect. I also know that Jesus Christ performed the atonement for that very reason. We can't be perfect, He died for us so that we have the opportunity to live eternally with our Heavenly Father. A feat that, without Christ, would be impossible. I know that the Book of Mormon, as well as the Bible, contain the true word of God. I hold these words very dear and close to my heart and I am so grateful everyday that I have them in my life, to learn from and to grow. I know that if you read from them they will bring you joy, truth and understanding.

How I live my faith

When I first came to Colorado I served on the Activities Committee in my Singles Ward. It was so fulfilling to be able to bring the Young Single Adults (YSA) together just to learn from each other. Its always refreshing after a long week, or a bad day at work, to just have fun and/or relax with people who you know have the same beliefs and the same standards that you have. Its a great feeling of belonging. And no matter where you go there are Saints there, just like you. The church is the same everywhere, you never have to worry about "fitting in", there is a place for everyone!
