Hi I'm Kari

I'm from Arizona. I'm a wife to my handsome husband, mom to 4 beautiful kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for 12 years. I am a Mom of 4 great kids; 3 boys and 1 girl. They are the joy of my life. Some of my hobbies are running/exercising, photography (mostly just taking good pictures of my kids), digital scrapbooking, blogging, painting, and even swinging on a trapeze every so often. I play taxi to my kids & their various activities but deep down I really enjoy it. I love going on dates with my hubby. We love going to the movies or just enjoying a night out together. We have one child with Down syndrome and also another that is a cancer survivor. It's never boring around our house! With these challenges, it has taught us to depend on our faith in God, and has also opened up a whole new world of parenting as well as appreciating the things we may take for granted on a daily basis. I'm grateful for these challenges because it's helped me step outside my comfort zone, meet others that have gone through similar trials and I believe it's helped me develop who I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents and family members are Mormons. I went to church all my life and never questioned it until I was a teenager. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if this church was true. I can honestly say that I felt the prompting of the Holy Ghost testify to me that it is true. I can say with a certainty that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus' ministry on the earth as well as prophets of ancient times. I have felt the truth of this gospel many times in my life and continue to seek opportunities to develop my testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have a testimony of this gospel. It is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I know it. I have felt that sweet feeling in my heart, that calming influence of the Spirit of God. It has been present in our home several times. We have had countless experiences where we have felt the presence of Jesus Christ especially with the challenges we have faced with our little girl having cancer. And that is something I will never deny. This is the true church of God.

How I live my faith

I consider myself a social person and I love to visit with others. I enjoy running with friends from my ward or going out to dinner with the girls once in a while. It's great to visit with one another and know that there are others going through similar things with children, family life, or it's always fun to swap ideas on how to be more organized or housecleaning tips! I am currently a teacher with all of the women 18 and older. I love learning from other women. It's such a blessing to learn from others experiences and hear their testimonies. It strengthens me and helps me want to be a better person. In the past I have served with the children of the ward, and the young women.
