Hi I'm Liam

I am an absolute nerd; I love math, physics, choir, and band. I am serving a full time mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a very logic-based brain that really enjoys STEM learning and challenges. I did rather well in high school because of this. I would love to study electrical engineering either to practice it myself or to teach others about my favorite subjects. I love music. I was in band for 8 years of school and choir for the last two. Making and performing music is one of my favorite activities and I continue to sing every day even if it is only A Capella hymns. I enjoy playing many varieties of video games. Kingdom Hearts, Dark Souls, and Dota 2 are a few of my favorite. However I have discovered recently that - as entertaining as video games are - life is happier and more fulfilling when I don't spend 16 hours a day on them. I love writing. Not storytelling, but rather persuasive, research-based writing. The kind all your English teachers made you do that you probably hated. I really enjoy making speeches and presenting them to others. My favorite genera is satire. I have been called to serve the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a full time missionary in the Tennessee Nashville Mission. Giving two years of my life to the service of the Lord and His children is a very difficult decision. However, I know that this is what God wants me to do and that He will be with me to support me.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and the sacrifice he has made for me. I want to do all I can to serve Him and return to His presence. I know that this is the Church of Christ exactly as He organized it while He was on the earth and as He has restored it fully in latter days. This is the only church with the priesthood authority from God. I have felt the blessing of that priesthood many times in my life and have received many witnesses of truth by the Holy Ghost. I am a Mormon because I believe that the ordinances of this church are the only way to return home to God's rest, and I want to do all that I can to be there with Him at the last day.

How I live my faith

I live the gospel by studying the word of God through scriptures and modern prophets every day. As I read I draw closer to Him and I can feel the changes in all aspects of my life. Studying helps me to learn more about His Gospel and plan of me. I try to follow the commandments and counsels of God as I understand them. This is a daily struggle of constantly evaluating my thoughts and desires and striving to be more Christlike. It is a struggle made easier through constant prayer and the blessing of the Sacrament each week. I try to understand God's will for me through study and prayer and blessings of the Priesthood; I strive to follow that plan for me and live it in my life. Right now I know God needs me to serve him as a full-time missionary proclaiming the Gospel to the wonderful people of Tennessee and Kentucky.
