Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a reader, a writer, a musician, an actor, and a swimmer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a junior in high school. I take challenging classes and so far, I have done well! I really enjoy hanging out with friends, and I also like video games (which I have less and less time to play now since I'm in high school!). I have amazing parents and three awesome younger sisters. I love writing, specifically books, and I plan to be a published author someday. I love music, even though I can't compose, and I play the piano and listen to my iPod a lot! I enjoy theatre, specifically musicals. Reading is also something I enjoy! This school year I have joined my school's swimming team and it's been really hard, but in the end it will be a great experience!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I've been in the Church my entire life! I was born into it. I continue to follow it because I know it's right. I believe in the Gospel's principles. I know that they will make you happy if they are applied in your life. The Spirit (the Holy Ghost) has testified so strongly to me in many spiritual occasions; I love crying when I feel the Spirit, actually, because I feel so happy. I truly know that this is the true Church. I love the Savior, and I will always. He atoned for my sins, enabling me to be truly happy in life and the eternities. My testimony is very, very important to me. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that every prophet following him was true. I know that they, along with the other General Authorities, are inspired men. I believe in the Book of Mormon and know that it is a true volume of scripture and is very important in our lives, along with other inspired, revealed texts. I also know that families can be forever, and that Heavenly Father truly did create a plan of happiness for us.

How I live my faith

I am an active member in my congregation; I attend church every Sunday. I participate in service projects that my congregation does. I am a home teacher with my father, as in I have a few families that I visit monthly and check up on them and teach a lesson to them. I go to youth activities and greatly enjoy those. I have before been involved in planning such activities.

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision was an event where God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith when he was fourteen years of age. The reason that this vision occured was because Joseph Smith prayed to God asking which of all the churches was true. During this vision, Jesus Christ revealed that none of the churches were His true Church. This vision helped to further show that God knows each one of us (as he called Joseph by name) and that Jesus Christ is the true Only Begotten Son of the Father. Show more Show less
