Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church at age 18. I am Mormon because this faith has helped me come closer to Jesus Christ than any other time in my life. The teachings of the church have made me a better person. I live with stronger values, stronger conviction to my faith and have a life of happiness. I have learned that God's plan for Happiness is centered around an Eternal family. Living together forever with my family is important. My family is precious to me. The Lord speaks to us today through a living prophet. By following the council and teaching of the living prophet, I have developed a relationship with the Lord. By making correct choices and seeking the Lord's council in prayer, I have become a better father, husband and a better Mormon. I challenge all who read this to follow these 4 steps. 1. Read the Bible and the Book of Mormon daily. 2. Follow the commandments 3. Pray to your Father in Heaven and seek personal revelation. 4. Serve your fellow man. Serve as Christ served. By doing so you can become closer to your Father in Heaven and come to know that Christ Lives today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through constant prayer, I strive for daily scripture study and a commitment to my family and my God. I serve in the community and with in the church. I am a Boy Scout Leader and I am the Community Volunteers Chairman for the state of Arizona. I also coach my son's football team. I teach Sunday School once a month and I also am a Home teacher. this is a responsibility that I enjoy. I visit an member of my faith once a month and give the family a spiritual message. Serving others is part of our faith. But the best way to live my faith to live a life of happiness. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a road map for such happiness. Ask a mormon how you can learn more about this plan.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jeff Laux
It seems logical to me that If God is perfect, that he would follow the same pattern for delivering revelation today as he did when Peter, James and John lived on the Earth. Show more Show less
