Hi I'm Kelly

I am a 40+ year old wife and mother who wants to return to school, own a food truck business and have a baby. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona and believe it or not I miss the heat. The desert sunsets are stunning, and after a monsoon rain the smells of the desert can be rejuvenating to the soul. However, I do love living in Colorado and having actual seasons. My family goes backpacking every late spring early summer to an area near Grand Lake, Colorado. The campsite includes high canyon walls and raging waterfalls. We like to think its quite special. At home we enjoy spending time together as a family sometimes watching Doctor Who episodes and riding bikes in our neighborhood. I never knew my life could be this great and that I could feel happy everyday even when tough things are happening all around me and to those closest to me.

Why I am a Mormon

After my biggest fan (Lala) passed away at age 21 I turned to living a life filled with bad decisions with dark outcomes. I had a very sacred experience in one of those darkest hours that allowed me to know of Jesus Christ as my Savior. However my questions still remained. Why am I here? Whats my real purpose in life? Can I be happy? On my search to know more I found goodness in many churches and sanctuaries; however, I was still left feeling unsure as to how to follow Christ and my life continued to spiral out of control. Periodically some missionaries would appear at my door step wanting to share a message about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I eagerly welcomed them into my home because I enjoyed having spiritual discussions and I was always left feeling good from our visits. After years of having them show up wherever I moved to, I believed they were everywhere busy sharing their message to everyone. I then came to realize that was not the case (not yet anyway). It was God, my Heavenly Father working diligently to answer my life questions and bring me peace. I chose to Believe Jesus Christ by following His gospel. I was baptized. The BEST decision ever! The Spirit provided the answers I needed to find God's plan of happiness for me. I have never looked back. I AM on the path that leads me back to my Heavenly parents.

How I live my faith

I am involved in many church activities that directly assist my community and the world. I myself contribute monthly along with 14+million other church members to feed the hungry and provide to the poor. I am proud to be apart of this effort and look forward to how much more I can do. I have worked with the youth and small children to teach and share the Lords gospel as it was provided to me through local missionary work.BR
