Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in NY and UT. I work as an attorney. I am a father to 5 wonderful boys and husband to 1 amazing wife. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with 5 older sisters and 1 little brother. As a somewhat mischievous little boy, having 5 "extra moms" around made it almost impossible to get away with anything. Consequently, when I was younger I wished that my older sisters were brothers instead of sisters. However, when I got to be older I realized how blessed I was to have 5 "extra moms" looking out for me all the time. I also came to realize when I was older what a blessing it was to be raised in a home with loving parents, who taught about Jesus Christ and exemplified his teachings. Having such loving parents and great siblings created in me a desire to have my own family and make my home a place where my children would feel as loved and safe I did. I was blessed years later to marry my wonderful wife of almost ten years. We have 4 active boys, ranging from the ages of 6 to 1. While our home can get a little energized at times with 4 little boys, it is an amazing experience to be a father and I would not trade it for the world. I currently work as an attorney and enjoy being able to help people resolve their legal issues. I also enjoy golfing, cycling, wakeboarding and spending time outdoors with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had a number of sacred personal experiences in my life in which I have received a confirming witness from the Holy Ghost of the reality of Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. While many of these experiences have occurred at high points in my life, others have occurred at low points. Yet, a common feeling in all of these experiences has been the feeling that Heavenly Father knows and loves me and wants me to return to Him. During certain times in my life this feeling has uplifted me and given me the strength and courage to make needed changes in my life. It has been during these times of change that I have come to know that Jesus Christ truly suffered for my sins and provided the way for me to be able to overcome my weaknesses and return to my Heavenly Father. Through these experiences I have also come to realize the love that Heavenly Father has for all of His children. This has helped me to develop a greater love for others and has helped me want to serve my family and friends as the Savior would so that they too might feel of Heavenly Father's love. As each of these personal experiences have been directly connected in some way to principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ taught in the LDS Church, I have come to know for myself that the teachings in the LDS Church are true and that by living according to them I can return to my Heavenly Father. It is because of these personal experiences and the knowledge that has come from them and the undeniable witness of the Holy Ghost that I have received has I have prayed about the Book of Mormon that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have served in the LDS Church by making regular visits to families or individuals in my congregation that I am asked to watch over and assist with their spiritual or temporal well-being. While I have had opportunities to serve in various positions in the LDS Church over the years, these visits with families and individuals in their homes have been some of my favorites as I have gotten to know these people on a personal level and witness how they strive in their lives to follow the Savior. This has helped to strengthen me and helped me want to do better. When on occasion one of these families or individuals has had a need, it has always been a positive experience for me when I have assisted them in whatever way I could. It has also been a blessing in my life to have others watch over me and my family and help lift me when I have been down or lend me a hand when I have needed one.
