Hi I'm Buffy.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my favorite activities include gardening, traveling, reading, quilting, and spending time with family and friends. I attended BYU-Idaho where I earned a degree in English Education. Attending a church sponsored school was a uplifting experience and I'm greatful for the things I learned while attending. I have a lot of good memories from college, including the first time I saw snow! Now I work as instructional development manager and I'm happy to put what I learned to good use.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since my dad baptised me and confirmed me a member at age eight; I've always considered it my greatest blessing. Recently I visited some historical church history sites in Palmyra, New York and Kirtland, Ohio. My travels confirmed my testimony that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God called to restore The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints after the apostacy. I know that Joseph Smith was blessed by God with the ability to translate the gold plates, which were written in Egyptian. I know that the Book of Mormon is a sacred text saved up by the Lord for the latter days, our days. I testifiy that the Book of Mornon is another testiment of Jesus Christ intended to work in combination with the Holy Bible to stand jointly as a whitness of Christ's plan for His children. I know that Christ truly walked the earth and lived a perfect life only to be rejected and curcified by his own in order to save us all through the atonement. I believe in repentance and Christ ability to clense His children of their sins. I love my Savior and recognize Him as a loving, selfless brother.

How I live my faith

I attend a singles ward in my area where I serve in the Relief Society, a woman's organization, as 2nd counselor. I spend time working with a committee to plan monthy meetings for the women in my ward where we focus on improving ourselves and others spiritually and temporally. I believe that each daughter of God is of great worth. I feel that we are each on a path toward the the common goal of eternal life and we should support one another in getting there. In Relief Society we strive to help eachother reocognize our divine potiential as well and influence others for good.
