Hi I'm Robin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a step mom of two. I love anything that has to do with Latinos. (Just ask my husband.) The thing I like most to do is Latin Dance. Which most people are shocked when they see me, because on the outside I look like a typical "gringa". Life is hectic. Between work, school, kids and chores, it doesn't seem like there is much time left over to breathe. However, I'm always amazed to see that when I give that little time each day to the lord, how he multiplies the time I have left to be able to get it all done.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I like being happy. The gospel of Jesus Christ has filled my life with so many beautiful blessings. As I continue to strive to live as Jesus would have me live, my life is filled with joy, and hope. I am more able to confront the ills of this world and overcome, instead of succumb. A key factor to the peace and joy I feel comes from restored gospel truths. One of these truths is guidance received from living prophets. Our Heavenly Father loves us so much he has opened the heavens. He speaks to the servents He has chosen in our day and age. These principles help me to align my life with Christ. The Book of Mormon, Another Testiment of Jesus Christ is another key factor to my happiness. All along its pages are passages calling us unto Christ. I feel it is an open invitation to me daily to "Come unto our savior, my Savior" . As I read through the pages and learn of Jesus Christ, my life has a better focus. I'm eternally grateful to our Savior for His sacrifice for us, (for me personally). I know our Heavenly Father loves us, each and everyone of us. I know that his son is our Savior. He knows us, personally. He knows our strenghts and our weaknesses (and loves us despite of them). I know no greater peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

Now this is the fun part, to go out and do. "Be a doer of the word and not just an hearer." The Lord knew we would need a little help here on earth. That's why in the church we are given responsabilities to care and nuture for our fellow brothers and sisters. I am currently in charge of the Humanitarian efforts. I also have the privilege of being a visiting teacher. I have two specific sisters that I visit each month. The main purpose is to ensure that they are being cared for spiritually and that their temperal needs are being met. I love bringing my sisters a spiritual message and having time to get to know each of one of them. I've formed so many wonderful friendships through this inspired calling of service. It has been said that when you are in the service of your fellow man, you are only in the service or your God. That's why I love the opportunity I have to serve those around me; Both members, brothers and sisters of other faiths, and those who might not know our savior.
