Hi I'm Katrina Hungary

I love running, the scriptures, service, trying new things, and my service in The Nevada Las Vegas West mission, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old, I was baptized 4 years ago. And I recently just returned home from a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have loved bringing the people of Las Vegas closer to Christ. I have two younger brothers, one younger sister, and one older sister. On my mission I have learned so much about how much Heavenly Father loves his children no matter who they are. On the topic of my hobbies, I usually do sports such as basketball, track and field, and cross country etc. I love doing new things such as plays and musicals. On a random note I have learned to juggle a knife and a ball fire. I love my friends that I have made.I love my big family, and I love the gospel more than anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a Baptist, then over two years ago missionaries knocked on my door.On may 23 I was at a Desmon Tutu conference with some classmates, and my friends and, my sisters. I was getting picked on I felt so low,on the outside I held my cool, but on the inside I was upset. A little ways through the conference I went to the restroom and secretly cried in a stall. As I went back down into my seat, I didn't talk to anyone. Then all of a sudden Desmon Tutu said something that I know to be true. No matter who you are or what you've done. He said "God loves you"At that moment I remembered what the missionaries told me to do, for some reason I was prompted to pray. I prayed to God to give me a sign if this church is true, and real. I immediately felt this warm and cozy feeling like a blanket that just got out of the dryer was wrapped around me.I knew it was Gods way of telling me the truth. On the 28th of that month I was baptized.I always want to stay close to that feeling. the feeling that I am loved, it was a true moment of happiness in my life. This was a feeling I never had at my Baptist church or any other church, and I'm so thankful for this gospel. I'm thankful for the missionaries who helped in my conversion and changed my family's life. Now I preach his gospel. It took me 2 years to be able to be a missionary. I still look up to those that have taught me so much. I love being a missionary, sharing with others how much this gospel has changed my life. And how this gospel is all about peace and love and comfort.

How I live my faith

In my life I have faced many chanlleges, but something that I kept close to my heart was how much faith can change your life. I stand up for what I believe in, as I keep in mind what Christ would have me do. In my life I always try to live as my savior Jesus Christ. I am a representitive of him, and I know with him and heavenly father by my side I will never fail and I can do the imposible. I live my life so that I can always have the holy ghost with me. I love my lord with all my heart and I will and can confess that to anyone. All you have to do is ask...

What is faith?

Katrina Hungary
Faith is things hoped for that you have not seen. For an example it's like the wind you can't see it,but you can feel it so you know it's there, its just like Gods love. You can't see love but you have faith and hope that it's there. Show more Show less

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Katrina Hungary
Mormons pay 10% to the Church, because it's one of the ways God has asked us to show him how much we love him. It is a test of faith. Tithing has been around for millions of years starting in the old Testament in the Bible. So it's not a new concept just re-established. It's also important to know that the money paid is private and is very sacred to the Church. That money goes to building Chapels and Temples and also the kingdom of God on the earth.
