Hi I'm Rex

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music, I played bass in high school jazz bands and orchestra and I still enjoy singing. For a short time I played professionally in a dance band. My greatest musical talent is recognizing and appreciated beautiful and creative music. I'm a family man, have four children all boys, well men now as they're all grown and my wife and I have been married a mere 35 yrs. Before moving to Arizona I loved skiing in the perfect Utah snow, now I enjoy the sunshine, water sports and a little more golf. I currently work as a manager at a financial services company where I've been for many years. I love working with people and ideas and making their ideas come to life.

Why I am a Mormon

My family were all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was born, so I naturally followed them during my formative years there. As a young adult I wanted to know for myself whether there really are living prophets and apostles and whether the Book of Mormon is true. I read and followed the promise found in Moroni 10:4 which in essence says that if you will ask God with real intent having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you. I received a special witness that these things and true and it has been the one decision that has led to every good thing in my life.

How I live my faith

Because I received a witness of the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel I had a desire to share that testimony with other. Eventually, I was called to serve as a missionary in Canada for 2 yrs, there I met many wonderful people and helped them come to an understanding of truth. I think living my faith means that I see everyone else as a brother or a sister and try to treat them with respect and consideration. Part of demonstrating my faith in Christ is to keep the commandments and to repent when I've done something wrong. I also think that service to others is not only important but required to fully serve God. I volunteer to coordinate service that benefits the poor and needy in our community and as a Home Teacher I visit and care for other members of the church and minister to their needs.
