Hi I'm Jen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother of 5. (Wife of 1, mother of 5, that is!) I love talking, laughing and being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Having grown up as a member of the church, it's difficult to define a moment when I suddenly knew that this was the true church. There have been many small moments when I have contemplated specific aspects of the gospel and have felt the Holy Ghost testify of their goodness and truthfulness. I am a believer that doing is how you come to know. As I have practiced the things that I have been taught throughout my life in church and at home, I have felt so much peace and happiness. As I have read and re-read the Book of Mormon, I have felt the Spirit testify to me that it is true. But as I have LIVED the teachings that it contains, I have SEEN the difference it has made in my life. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ has suffered for each one of us so that we, after all that we can do here on the earth, are each able to return to live with Him someday. Our efforts are not enough. We need his mercy. His atonement has the power to heal wounds, right wrongs and allow us to forgive others even when we don't think it's possible. Our efforts are not enough. We need his infinite power to bring us to where we want to be.

How I live my faith

I have found that I am most happy when I am busy helping others. With a large family, that service often comes at home, but I try as much as possible to help wherever I can outside of my home as well. I work a lot in the church and community with the youth, whom I love! It's always wonderful to see their sincere enthusiasm and to feel of their amazing strength. Whether it's the school PTO, making costumes for the middle school theater productions or leading a group of girls at summer camp, I enjoy the opportunity to serve. I know that I'm probably not making a notable difference in the world, but I hope that I'm making a difference in the lives of the individuals I interact with. I definitely know they're making a difference in mine!
