Hi I'm Tom Feller

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Husband to Stephanie Ann Strasburg (Feller) and Father to our four (4) kids, and that is hard work! I have a college degree, been to law school, passed the bar, run my own law firm now, etc., but nothing compares in importance and difficulty than being a good husband and father--toughest job in the world (but most important), and the most gratifying and rewarding. Family is where we learn to be our best selves, and while our family is far from perfect, there are moments when the world seems to stop and things become really clear, really peaceful and really nice....all in the family.

Why I am a Mormon

I know the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I know God speaks to prophets--ancient prophets and modern-day prophets. Just as Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc. were prophets of God, so to was Joseph Smith (he who translated the Book of Mormon by the Gift of God). I know that God speaks to us today through a living prophet, thus, our Church is a 'living' Church. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer (these words have different meanings, but both apply to his Atonement). I know that without the Atoning Sacrifice of my Lord Jesus Christ that I would be a wretched, damned soul and would die physically and spiritually. In closing, I know that it is by Grace that I can be saved (not by works, but by Grace), but only if I do ALL that I can do to live God's commandments and keep my covenants with Him (I have to qualify for God's Saving Grace by works, seems paradoxical but it's not).

How I live my faith

James 2:26, Faith without works is dead. If I don't practice what I believe and don't 'live' a Christ-like life, then I am nothing. Also too, I could be the richest most successful person in the world, but if I don't love my wife and my kids and treat them right, then I have gained nothing and will lose everything. Family comes second, after God only.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Tom Feller
My testimony has come over time. It did NOT occur all at once. I have no recollection of ever doubting the truth of the Gospel, but different parts of it have come to me in pieces over-time, here a little, there a little. I know that God lives and that His Church has been restored to the Earth in these latter-days prior to the second coming of his Son, Jesus Christ. We have His priesthood authority, we have a living prophet who holds all the necessary keys of the Pristhood for our World and God has created many worlds, and our purpose here on this Earth is simple--we are to learn the spiritual side of things in this life, come to know God, have Faith in God and then follow Him and His Son, Jesus Christ, through the Holy Ghost, who are one God in purpose, but of course they are three separate and distinct beings who love and care about us deeply, but they will NOT violate our irrevocable and unalterable right to choose for ourselves, we have free will or moral agency to choose whatever we want in this life and God will NOT force any man to Heaven. Indeed, men and women are free to choose, but we are not free to choose the consequences of our actions, so it behooves us to choose wisely (decisions determine destiny, and how we spend our TIME in this life will dictate our eternity in the next).
