Hi I'm Hannah Genevieve Johnson!

I'm from Anacortes, Washington. I'm currently serving a mission in Utah, I love Disney, and I have three sisters. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and grew up in Bellingham, WA and as a member of the church. I graduated from Anacortes High school in 2013 with plans on attending BYU, but later that month received my mission call to the GREAT Utah Salt Lake City Mission! I love singing, playing piano, and music in general. I have three sisters and two cats named Mozart and Haydn (after composers, of course...). I am the second oldest and my older sister served a mission in the Chile Santiago North Mission. I ABSOLUTELY love being a missionary! When the announcement was made in October 2012 of the missionary age change, I was excited but not necessarily sure about my future plans, so I continued with my senior year and applied to BYU and BYU-I. I was accepted to both and when I prayed as to which I should go to, I received the answer of "Utah". Little did I know that i would be going there for a very different reason for 18 months! The gospel has had such an impact on my life and has brought me greater joy than anything else. It is a gospel of love, faith, family, and sacrifices, but sacrifices that don't even feel like sacrifices, that turn into wonderful blessings too numerous to count!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but that is not the only reason I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The gospel has helped me throughout my life in making tough choices and in doing the right thing. It definitely helped while I was going through high school and helpes me to see clearly the right choices. If i wasn't a member I probably would've made a lot different choices in my life in the way I dress, the way act, and what I am doing with my future. I would not be where I am today without this church. The gospel has helped strengthen me throughout my life and i encourage all those other teens who may be having tough times to just rethink things. Life is tough. Everyone goes through hard times in their life and one big thing that can help you pull through it is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Its hard to keep my chin up when others around me, even LDS friends are making bad choices but I know the most important thing is to just trust in the lord and if you do that, miracles can happen!

How I live my faith

I love attending church meetings which gives me a great opportunity to feel the spirit and learn new things each time! I love serving others, in any way i can- from painting to pulling out trees to cleaning to pouring concrete :) I try to be the best example that I can, not only for my family and friends but for those who may not know anything about this glorious gospel. I also live my faith by serving a mission, which has been the best decision I've ever made in my life. I've seen it bless my life and my families life in numerous ways and has strengethed my testimony- i've been able to see people accept the gospel and be internally and externally changed through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know this church is true because I've felt that confirmed from the Holy Ghost as i've read and prayed about the Book of Mormon. I know it, live it, and love it! :)

Are Mormons Christians?

Hannah Genevieve Johnson!
Yes! Mormons (the title we are generally known as) are most definitely Christian! We believe in Jesus Christ, God the Eternal Father and in the Holy Ghost. We just believe that they are three seperate beings and not all the same. Only in purpose are they one. Article of Faith #1: "We believe in god the eternal father, and in his son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost". Show more Show less
