Hi I'm Alec

I'm a sophomore in college. I enjoy running cross country, playing ultimate frisbee, and traveling, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student at the Brigham Young University in Idaho. I've been to Honduras on a mission trip to bring fresh water to the people, and I have traveled to the land of China to teach English to little kids. It was awesome. My family has hosted foreign exchange students and foster siblings. My parents are converts to the church. I am a cross country runner (it's in my blood). I enjoy music, and can play piano (a little). I enjoy community service, and I work for a dentist, mainly computer stuff. I enjoy writing although I'm not all that good. I enjoy talking with friends and reading and watching series. I am also an eagle scout.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts to the church and are a great inspiration to me, and that is one of the many reasons. I also feel that the church provides a lot of answers to questions that I have about religion and about the world around me. Also, from my many experiences from the Church, I feel that the things that they teach are true, after pondering and praying on the material over the years of my life.

How I live my faith

I enjoy doing community service. I am planning on serving a two year mission in Peru very soon. I try hard to keep good grades in school. I am an eagle scout. I try to be a good example to all my younger siblings, and present myself in an honorable manner. I try to understand my Heavenly Father's plan for me and try to present myself as a Son of God.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Alec
To know our Father in Heaven, we must look at his many works in his Holy Scriptures. We must look for his hand in our daily lives. We must open ourselves to the things that he has in store for us. We can ask others about what they have learned about their Heavenly Father, including his prophets. Show more Show less
