Hi I'm Chantel

I'm a wife and mother, a counselor and college instructor and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My two favorite titles are wife and mother. I had to be more patient then I ever expected to finally attain those titles but like most things in life, "good things come to those who wait". Interesting (or not so interesting... you decide) tidbits about me: * Like many, I love to travel but my favorite places are camping or going to the beach with my husband. * College football, not the NFL. * I can and have had chocolate for breadfast, lunch and dinner * Disneyland all the way! * My work philosophy - have fun and laugh (my same philosophy when it comes to learning)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family but I've always known in my heart this is His true gospel. I honestly love following His principles because it has kept me safe and free from major heartache and pain. I know many have an issue with Mormons paying 10% in tithes but I can testify by following that principle I know I will be taken care of and have what I and my family needs to live. Something that is fun about being a Mormon is how it is the same any where you go in the world. I'm sure you've heard the phrase, "It's a small world" well in the Mormon world it is even smaller. I love going somewhere different and I'm amazed at meeting someone new and discovering we know the same person simply because of being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). I love Mormons' sense of unity and focus on the family. Honestly, I cringe at thinking about who I would be and the decisions I would have made if I wasn't raised a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I like to be active in my community so I can have a hand in making my community a better place for my family and others. I participated in my city's leadership program and both my husband and I are precinct committeeman. For about a year and a half I over saw activities for the women at my church and any other women who wanted to attend. The activities were meant to give the women a break and enjoy time spending time with other women as well as to learn new skills, perform service activities for others, and build spirituality. I've been a school counselor and college instructor for the past six years and love how following Christ's example has drawn others to me which has led to success in helping the lives of others.
