Hi I'm Teri

I build Race ATV's for a living. I am a motocross mom with 4 boys who race. I became a Mormon when I was 26 years old.

About Me

I am a motocross mom with 4 WILD BOYS. I am 5'!0" and the shortest one in the family! (my 2 oldest boys are 6'6") Our family loves to race ATV's, matter of fact we build race ATV's for a living. Our family works together in the business. I love to go racing with my family, it gives us time to talk and get to know each other better. Racing & building ATV's has enabled me to meet people across the country and the world! My race ATV's are in many different countries. I am extremely competitive so I especially love it when my boys get on the podium at the races! I have a marketing degree from Washington State University. I think it is fun to strategize and help organizations and new businesses grow. One thing I have learned is there are more important things than money.............. but you have to have a little money to pay the bills. I have a German Shepard dog named Comanchee. I love to watch my boys play football and basketball. I love to go camping, jet skiing, swimming, boating, racing sand rails in the dunes, and most of all I like to sleep. When my kids get older and go on missions I am going to go on a mission as well. Can't wait!!!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 22 years old I was invited to attend church, by my husband. I did not know anything about the Mormon church so the first time i went it was really weird. Satan worked hard against me joining the church. I had friends who watched anti Mormon videos and gave me those videos to watch, I didn't know what to think. (of course later I found out that those silly movies were all false) It took me a while but I listened to my heart and after meeting and observing many church members for 4 years, I was baptized. I love Christ and his church. I love the members of my church. I never had a strong loving family growing up, so the church has taught me how to be a better friend, a better parent and a better spouse. The church members are continually teaching me new things. Not only am I learning gospel principles but by learning and then living these principles I have found peace and happiness. I love the basics that the church teaches like self sufficiency, food storage and preparedness. When I was investigating the church I was amazed that no one received a paycheck. Everyone volunteered their time and talents! Amazing! The service that I have seen in the church is unbelievable. I do not know what I would do without the church....oh ya.... I do know. Without the church I would be confused, stressed, lonely and probably not to happy! I love Christ and know this is the true church. i am so lucky and blessed to be a part of this church! Amen.

How I live my faith

In our church each person has a calling, it is like a "job" but you don't get paid and it's always fun! So really I guess it is not like a job.....ha ha. I have been going through some really hard times in my business and personal life as well, so my part in our church is small right now. I have 3 friends that I visit each month to be sure everything is ok with them. (In the beginning I didn't know them, but I do now) I love to go visit my friends and every time I go I learn that we have more in common. I am very thankful for the "job" the church has given me because i feel good when I do what I am supposed to! I have been the Booster Club President at our local Jr. High for 4 years, I volunteer at the churchs food bank and i do my best to help where I can. Since i am in the business of building race Atv's, I advocate safe riding practices and educate people where ever I can. I beleive that it is important to support our schools and communities, especially now when so many people are struggling. I always give people the benefit of the doubt. Like one of my best friends says "Just remember that each person is doing the best they can at that moment". That phrase helps me stay cool when someone does something not so nice. Who knows what that person might be going through. Because I have the gospel I feel a great sense of peace even when things are really bad. I keep a good perspective and know that the Lord is there for me. I am very thankful for the gospel and the church!
