Hi I'm Anna Lee Young

When I joined the church in 1951, I was a young mother. I'm a grandmother of 7 great kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have two daughters. I'm a widow. I like to cook and read mysteries, American classics, and of course, the scriptures!

Why I am a Mormon

The missionaries called on me in 1951. In time, I was baptized. Then, after a while they started teaching my husband, Eddy. Then he was baptized which was a blessing because then we could both study and grow in the gospel. Right away, I was called to serve in the Primary. Our congregation met in an old house. It was an old building but the spirit was there. We didn't have too many members. We built our meetinghouse while I was in Relief Society. The sisters were in charge of many fundraisers. The spirit was so strong as we served in the many different ways we did. The sisters were so willing. We had bake sales and rummage sales, just about everything you could think of. The members helped with many different projects during the construction of the church. It was hard work, but we felt so blessed to be a part of it, to have a building to meet in. It was such a blessing to have such a building to meet in. It was a good missionary tool for us as well. I'm very prayerful. I love to serve our Heavenly Father and I know I will be blessed if I follow His commandments. I am so grateful for the atonement of our Savior. I look forward to coming to church every Sunday and meeting with the rest of the Saints. I'm so thankful to have the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I have been over the women three times over the years. I have also been a visiting teacher ever since I joined the church.
