Hi I'm Meriam

I'm a full-time missionary, a servant of the Lord, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Minnesota and lived there for 6 years. Then I moved to New Jersey and lived there for 10 years. I loved New Jersey and I miss it dearly! In 2009 I moved to Nebraska with my family. I have amazing parents, David and Michelle, and five siblings. My oldest sibling's name is Chris(34) and he lives in PA. My second oldest is Bryan(29) lives with his wife Lillian and their five kids Justice(8), Everett(6), Drake(4), Liberty(2), and Bravery(1). My oldest sister, Brooke(28), is working in Disney World with her husband Nathan and they have a daughter, Ruby(1) . My youngest sister is Emma(17) and she lives at home with my parents. I had a beautiful sister that lived only 6 months and her name was Aubrey. She lives with our Heavenly Father and I can't wait to see her again! I studied for two semesters at Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-I). I recently decided I would like to minor in photography and major in something else, I'm still undecided though. I also love singing! I was in All-State choir when I was in high school and I loved it! I am now spending 18 months of my life serving Heavenly Father full-time and I couldn't be happier about being on a mission! I am serving in the California Bakersfield Mission from November 20th, 2013-April 29th 2015. I love helping people learn about the gospel. I may not be the best teacher, but learning about Christ is all about the Holy Spirit touching the hearts of the learners.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church and I would never choose anything else for my life. The church is a perfect oasis in this insane world. It makes me happy and I love learning more and more about my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I memorized the Living Christ once for Youth Conference and it really drew me closer to my brother, Jesus Christ. I absolutely adore the spiritual uplifts I have had in my life like the temple, EFY (Especially For Youth), BYU-I. My Heavenly Father has a great plan for me. He loves me and I love him. He wants the best for me and he wants me to return with honor. I love learning about the blessings I will recieve because of the good choices I make. There is no greater blessing then the blessings we gain from being a faithful member of this church. Because of this church I will be sealed to my family for time and all eternity and I am so extrememly grateful for that; I can't even begin to explain the feeling I get when I begin to think about it. One of my greatest heroes, next to Christ of course, is Joseph Smith. His amazing spirit and faith is why I am in this beautiful church that, through Heavenly Father, he helped organize. The Book Of Mormon is a true testament of Christ. I believe all that it says and I know Joseph Smith translated this book. He had one of the strongest spirits and is a great example to me in my every day life. His story is what makes me remember why I am a Mormon, and know it's true through the book he translated. I know, without a doubt, that he was a true prophet called of God and that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet on this Earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my life the best I can and the way I do that is by living my standards I gained from this church. My Heavenly Father has given me so much. Keeping the commandments is the best I can do to try to show him I love him too. I live my life noticing the little miracles around me and I will be forever grateful for Christ's atonement. Because of his atonement I am where I am today. I love my family for supporting me in my life. I love my friends as well and even though there are no Mormons in my high school, besides my sister, I have great friends that accept my standards and don't try to change them. In school, if you know me, you most likely know I'm a Mormon. I have never tried to hide who I am and I love teaching people about the gospel. I have had a few missionary experiences in my life and I hope I will be able to do the best I can to bring Heavenly Father's beloved children unto him. I know if I keep the spirit with me at all times and in all things and in all places I will be able to bring people unto Christ. While I was attending BYU-I and while on a mission I have learned so much about the gospel and it has helped me gain a better testimony of who I am and how I can live my faith. While in college, I suddenly had the revelation that I needed to go on a mission. It was out of no where and certainly not my plan. I trust in Heavenly Father and know that because of my faith He has led me to make this change in my life to be able to serve a mission.
