Hi I'm Liz

Love being a mom to three great kids! And a wife to one wonderful man! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy a challenge. I consider myself a pretty competitive person. I enjoy life and try to live it to the fullest. However, I am not a big risk taker. I will not be bungee jumping off tall buildings or skydiving from airplanes anytime soon. I enjoy running, swimming and lifting weights to keep in shape and find all very theraputic not to mention a great stress reliever. Twelve years ago I met my husband and marrying him was the best decision I ever made. We just celebrated 11 years of marriage and we've created a pretty great life together that I never want to end. We have three great kids together who are counting on us. They keep us busy but we have the greatest times when we're all together. We make a really great team.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and my family line on both sides (generations and generations) are all members. I feel very blessed knowing that it's in my blood. I have to be honest, even though I was born into this church, and I knew no different, I wanted to know for myself if this church was true. So, I questioned a lot and made a lot of mistakes along the way. Then it was time. Time to get my life in order. I searched, I pondered and finally prayed and I got the answer I was looking for. True and ever lasting happiness only can come through Him. That is what I wanted - HAPPINESS. I worked very hard to get my life right - the way I knew my Father in Heaven would want. I've never looked back, only forward.

How I live my faith

This scripture comes to mind and pretty much explains exactly how I feel: "And we talk of Christ, We rejoice in Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prorhecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." 2 Nephi 25:26. I start every morning with a prayer and I end each day doing the same. I attend my church meetings every Sunday and I try to never miss. I attend the Temple regularly where I make and keep sacred covenants. I love my church. I love serving in my church. I love meeting new people. I'm not afraid to strike up a conversation with a total stranger. Some of the neatest people I've met in our brief conversations happen to be while standing in line at the post office or grocery store or restaurant. I've served in many capacities. As a visiting teacher, a marriage development class instructor with my husband when we were first married, a Cub Scout leader, an Activity Days leader over the 10-11 year old girls, a Nursery teacher over 18mo-3 years of age, a Primary worker, I taught lessons on Sunday's for the adult women, a teacher for the 12-13 year old girls, Canning Specialist and an Enrichment committee member. I might be missing one or two but as you can see, there are many areas in my Faith to serve. I love that I can be called and set apart for each calling I've had or will ever have in the future. It's a wonderful thing. I love my ward family. We are just like a family and I feel blessed to have a great support system where we truly love, care, and look out for each other.
