Hi I'm Vanessa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona and have lived in the same state my whole life. I am a hairdresser and have been for 12 years. I love to travel! I went to England for my 5th time in March and will be traveling to Argentina next year. I am the oldest of 5 and I am the shortest. I enjoy cooking and baking...mostly baking. I also LOVE music! I listen to all different types of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortune to have been born to, two wonderful parents who already were very faithful and active members of the church. Even though I have been raised in the church my whole life I have found for myself the truthfulness of the gospel and the blessings that it brings. My parents always gave me a choice and wanted me to know for myself that it was true. Knowing that Jesus Christ is my Savior bring me joy and even when I am having a hard day or week remembering this helps me get through.

How I live my faith

I love doing service. When I am having a bad day that is one way to feel better. I currently am serving as Visiting Teaching Coordinator in my singles ward and a Gospel Doctrine teacher. I love serving the sisters and teaching the New Testament. I am not necessarily a "typical" member living in Gilbert. I am 30 years old, own my own home and business and am single. I think I have a unique attitude and perspective to share to many of the "younger" brother and sisters in my singles ward. I have also serve in the Mesa Arizona Temple as a Ordinance worker on Saturday nights for the last 2 years are plan to continue till I am no longer able to. I am a hairdresser and I love telling my friends and clients the wonderful things I experience and feel at the temple. I have a great Saturday night every week! How many single ladies can say that?!? Serving has blessed my life and shown me the "bigger" picture. Since serving at the Temple I smile at everyone. Whether it is a the grocery store, on the street or at church I smile at them. I hope it brings a little joy and light into their lives as the gospel has done to mine.
