Hi I'm Allison

I'm a mother to two toddlers and a step mom to two teenagers. I'm married to the love of my life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just an average, every day woman. I've never traveled the world or saved orphans. I can barely remember to feed my dog. I've never had any tragic accidents or suffered any major trauma. I'm a wife and a mother. I wear baby food stains proudly. I'm a home cook extraordinaire and I love to read. I love being a stay at home mom, even if as I say this my toddlers are dumping a bag of animal crackers all over the kitchen. I have had jobs that I've really enjoyed in my life, but nothing has ever compared to being a mother. I know my Heavenly Father blesses me daily and I can always feel his love for me, no matter what. I know I will have many seasons in my life from raising small children to being able to participate more in my community and help others and I look forward to all of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it's the only thing I've ever known that has ever given me any real peace and understanding. I'm not a scriptorian, I'm not a philosopher and I know I don't need to be. I know I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and who is very aware of me and what's going on in my life. He knows my struggles and when I despair, he is right there helping me through it. He knows my hopes and my desires and I know that it's only through him that I can make good things happen in my life. I'm a Mormon because this is Christ's true church on the earth. I know this to be true. Being a Mormon brings me a happiness and a deep love for my Savior that I never could have imagined.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others. I feel that this is one of the best ways that we can draw closer to the Savior, is to immerse ourselves in service to others just as he did. I look forward to those opportunities when I can get out of my four walls and go visit someone or help someone when it's needed. I love to work with the young women in our church. They are so strong, so courageous and inspire me every day to be a better person and to be a little braver. I love the relationship I have with the other women in my church. They uplift me and teach me without even knowing it. I learn so much about being a better wife & mother from watching their example. I think that if I could say one thing that I would hope for, it would be that I hope I can be as good of an example of compassion and service as others have been to me.
