Hi I'm Sherilyn

I'm a wife. I'm a mom. I like pickles. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to a wonderful man (my best friend) and a mother to a beautiful little girl. Most of my day is spent with her, but when she is napping, I enjoy editing pictures that I've taken or watching my favorite shows on television. In addition to being a wife and mom, I am also a full-time student taking online classes. My goal is to one day get a degree in Pyscology, which I have always had a huge interest in. I also have a love for music. Growing up, I attended many ballets, symphonies, broadways shows, operas, and musicals, which all gave me an appreciation for the arts. As a young child, I didn't know how to read music, but that didn't stop me from composing my own music on the piano. I plan to encourage my own children to get involved in the arts in order for them to develop their own talents. My biggest dream in life was to be a mom, so I want to do my absolute best by helping them to discover who they are.

Why I am a Mormon

I have known since a young age that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the true church. I one day decided that it was time for me to decide on my own if the church was correct or not. I prayed sincerely about if the Book of Mormon was true, and shortly after, I got my answer. I got a strong feeling--a feeling a comfort and love--that told me that the church was true. Ever since that day, I have never doubted my beliefs about the church. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I also know that we have a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and cares for me, and that is a wonderful feeling! There have been many miracles in my life, and I know it was Heavenly Father who allowed those miracles to happen. For that, I will always be thankful.

How I live my faith

One way that I live my faith is by doing community service. I believe that helping others is what Heavenly Father would want us to do, so my husband and I find opportunities to help others in need.
