Hi I'm Britnee

I'm a mother of four, a cosmetologist, a preschool teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 9 years to my wonderful companion and am a mother of four amazingly beautiful children. I love scrapbooking, learning of my own and others heritage, I play the piano, sing, and love playing with my children. I teach preschool, and am a cosmetologist. I love living by the mountains and love to go camping. Nothing more amazing than a black sky filled with stars without end, over a campfire, surrounded by my family. I find most delight in watching my children learn and grow. I absolutely LOVE being a mom. I also really love going on dates with my handsome hubby.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because nothing in the world makes me happier. Everything I believe in and value is taught within the Mormon church. The feelings I get when I reflect on being a Mormon always makes me want to shout for joy. I have never really ever questioned my membership in this church because it has always felt right to me. Everything has always made sense to me, and the more I learn the stronger I feel that it is right. Being a Mormon doesn't mean that life is any easier, as we all have trials and growing experiences, but it does make life endurable. Being a Mormon makes me happy and feel loved. I feel that I am important and have a purpose in life. I know that I am a daughter of God, a loving Father in heaven. Being a Mormon enables me to have a relationship with my Father and His Son. They are real and every part of my life. I am a Mormon, because by being one, I know who I am.

How I live my faith

I am first and foremost a Mother. I feel that this is how I live my faith every second of every day. Teaching my children the things I know that our Father in heaven wants them to learn. I have to study my scriptures and be an example to my children. I try to serve those around me and look for opportunities to share my testimony of my faith with my friends. I don't feel that I do anything out of the ordinary, I'm just me. But by being "just me" that means that I always keep my standards high. I don't say bad or vulgar words. I don't drink coffee, tea, wine or beer. I dress conservatively and modestly. I am family oriented. And I keep the sabbath day holy, just to name a few things. Some may say we are a peculiar people, and I am proud of that, because it is by doing good that we are noticed, and are able to share truth with others.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Britnee
I absolutely believe that there is a Prophet on the earth today, just like Moses or Abraham, or Noah. Isn't that wonderful! I know because our Prophet isn't out "living" in the world, yet he knows everything that is going on. He knows what the youth are faced with today and he knows all the demands on adults. How would he know these things unless he were being directed by God? I know that when I listen to him speak, I receive answers to questions I have. I know he is directed by God and communes with him daily. Show more Show less
