Hi I'm Cathy

I live in the Southern U.S. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of eight children and have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. I was married in the Atlanta Georgia temple to my husband thirteen years ago and we have two sweet girls.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed and received revelation from God through his Holy Spirit that this is his gospel. I am a follower of Christ and his teachings and I have knowledge that he atoned for the sins of this world. His love for me gives me hope and strength to accomplish the goals I have for myself and endure the trials of life.

How I live my faith

I am the Relief Society secretary in our ward and I play the organ every other month. I try to live my faith by serving others and taking care of my family responsibilities.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Cathy
A husband and wife can be sealed together for eternity and as they have children, those children become a part of that sealing bond. This sealing surpasses death, allowing our families to live together as families in heaven. Have you ever wondered why we are in families? Why would God create Adam and Eve and command them to multiply and replenish the earth if there wasn't a divine purpose in the family? Why would we be sent to earthly families who love and care for us our whole lives and then, after death, it all goes away? I have a testimony that God has a plan for us and our families, that he wants us to cultivate relationships for a purpose and if we follow the plan he gives us, we can spend eternity with our loved ones.
