Hi I'm Nan

I am an Olympic Trials marathon qualifier. I'm a mother of three children. I'm a wife to a successful entrepreneur. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my husband and three young children. We have a lot of fun playing in the beautiful outdoors near our home in Boulder, CO. Watching my children learn, develop their personalities, and grow up is the single most rewarding experience for me. I also love running and competing at a national-class level in any race distance from 5K to the marathon. Running brings me a feeling of freedom, empowerment, health, and rejuvenation. I also love listening to good music, playing games, cooking and eating healthy food, traveling, visiting our family in Utah, and sleeping. I like movies but when given the choice between watching a movie or going to sleep, I almost always choose sleep. I am a morning person, its when I am the most productive and fulfilled.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I find peace in knowing who I am, where I came from, and where I am going. Its awesome to know my purpose and endless potential as a Daughter of God. I love going to Church every Sunday and feeling uplifted and encouraged by other's examples and by the doctrines of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I also love studying and reading the scriptures and other Gospel publications to help guide me in my daily life as I struggle through my trials and rejoice in my blessings. Being a member of the Church has brought me closer to Jesus Christ and given me appreciation and testimony of His life and love for us.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Boulder Ward as a member of the Primary Presidency. We organize and teach in Sunday school for children between the ages of 18 months to 11 years old. I love serving these children as I am a witness to their amazing faith and valiant desire to be good. We also do A LOT of singing with the children which is a great opportunity for me to let some energy out and feel of the Spirit of music.
