Hi I'm Natalie

I run, I play the violin, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona and recently moved to Colorado to study music therapy. Music is a huge part of my life. I love playing my violin and listening to any good music. I also ran cross country and track throughout high school. The adrenaline and competition of a good race always puts me in a good mood! I am the middle child of three. I love traveling, and I especially love the beach and anything outdoorsy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family who has been an amazing support and example to me. As I study the scriptures and gain a testimony of Jesus Christ for myself, I have the peace and happiness the Gospel is designed to bring. Striving to live a Christlike life is an investment. The blessings far exceed the sacrifices. Although I am by no means perfect, when I maintain a close relationship with my Savior, I am confident that I can overcome every trial and challenge because He knows me and helps me every step of the way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being in the world, but not of the world. One must be different from it to make a difference in it, which is why I have adopted the church standards as my own and live by them as best I can. Most of my friends are not of my faith and I respect that, but I also have no problem holding different values and sharing my beliefs with them.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes! The eighth article of our faith states, "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God." The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reveres and respects the Bible as sacred holy record which serves as the bedrock of all Christianity. It affirms also that the Lord continues to give additional revelation through his prophets in the last days that supports and verifies the biblical account of God's dealings with mankind.
