Hi I'm reed

I have a wonderful family. I'm an engineer, outdoor enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife, 6 children, 6 way cool sons and daughter in-law, 15 grand-kids. I'm a mechanical engineer. I snow ski and when melted, slalom ski; raft on it, fish in it; bike, coach youth soccer, & work with young men as Venture leader.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon but stopped going after high school. In high school I met my life long companion and love of my life. When we met my wife to be was of another faith. After we married we both longed for some kind of faith or religion to guide us and raise a family in. After going to several different churches in our search, and always coming up short in our expectations, I suggested we go to the Mormon church. We did that including reading and studying the Book of Mormon along with the Bible. And to this day we have never stopped learning and have devoted ourselves to service to the Master in the Church and community. I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and His Infinite Atonement which He has made available to all mankind including those departed this life without a knowledge of Him. I'm Mormon because the Mormon Church teaches and offers the most wonderful doctrine and insights into the Life and Mission of Jesus Christ, and how I might obtain Eternal Salvation. I'm Mormon because I have a witness of the Holy Ghost of those teachings. I'm Mormon because in my studies of the ancient Church established by Christ Himself, I find the Mormon Church most closely resembles and restores the doctrines and teachings established by Him, and perpetuated by His disciples and Apostles for the period they were alive and kept the church running by and through the organization He Himself established. I'm Mormon because the Church I belong to has come back out of the wilderness from whence it was driven in the ensuing centuries after Christ's advent because of persecution and doctrinal challenges and changes. The original truths have been restored, much to my amazement and excitement! And finally and most certainly most important in my life, I am Mormon because of the emphasis on family and that they are Eternal. Jesus was all about family and has made the family unit the most important organization in the world, or universe.

How I live my faith

I am quite happy and having fun in life because of my family, my belief in God, and because I am quite busy learning, serving, and playing. I love children and yes even teenagers and love to work with them in my callings and volunteer capacities. I have had the opportunity to serve in many capacities in the Mormon church such as: scoutmaster, venture and varsity leader, Sunday school teacher, early morning seminary teacher, lay leader and many others. I live my life in complete confidence in God and do my best to keep his commandments. I am so grateful for the sacrifice and offering of His Son to make things right when I fall or falter. When socially mingling in business I have almost always been respected for my beliefs and moral convictions. I love the challenges and joys of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormon. I love the scriptures, all of them. In addition to the Bible, I have read and studied and scrutinized the Book of Mormon many many times, always increasing my faith, testimony and knowledge of Christ and His Gospel. God be thanked for the precious gift of His Son.
