Hi I'm Casey
I'm a student body officer at my university. I love agriculture and business. I spend my spare time hunting and fishing.
About Me
I grew up on a farm raising show cattle and hay in beautiful Cache Valley Utah. I love being outside doing things with my hands. As a college student, I enjoy being involved on campus as a student body officer; people tell me I'm really busy, but its nice to feel productive. More than anything though, I love spending time with my family.
Why I am a Mormon
It doesn't matter if you were born into the church or chose to become a member latter in life. At some point, each one of us has to find out for ourselves if this Church is everything it claims to be. That takes asking our Father in Heaven for the truth that he has promised to give humble willing seekers. I did that! I asked if Joseph Smith was a prophet and if we have a prophet today. My answer didn't come all at once, but the more I studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon, the more I realized that there is no other explanation to my deepest desires and questions such as: what is my purpose in life and what is my fullest potential, what is the purpose of families and can they really be together forever, and if my Father in Heaven really does love and care about me, will he talk to me. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are the same yesterday, today, and forever. I have found when I live the doctrine of my faith, not just the social aspect, I have enjoyed the happiest times of my life and I know that anyone who wants peace and happiness in their lives can find it by seeking out and living the doctrine taught by Jesus Christ which can be found in the Book of Mormon and the Bible.
How I live my faith
Being a follower of Jesus Christ is more than just a one day-a-week event. Christ didn't take days off, so neither will I. Today and everyday I follow the example of Christ by living according to his teaching and trying to learn and apply his attributes into my whole life. Like Peter said in 1 Peter 2:21, "Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example, that we should follow in his steps." So everyday I try to be more patience with those around me, show more Christlike love, or charity, to those I interact with each day, and I do everything I can to serve everyone around me. Some days I don't do as well as I would like, but because of the atonement of Christ, I can try again the next day.
