Hi I'm Ben

I'm a dirt bike enthusiast, I enjoy zebra cakes from time to time, and I'm a big-hearted mormon!

About Me

I'm a mormon! I am currently serving a mission in Phoenix. I'm 19 years old and am the second oldest of four kids. I was born to great parents who were members of the Church. Through their example they have taught me how to be the best that I can be. I'm a normal 19 year old who likes to do normal things. I like to laugh, play all kinds of sports, ride dirt bikes, and just be active. I love to spend time with my family in the outdoors doing anything from mountain climbing, back packing to camping. Friends have played a big role in my life and have always been there for me. I'm greatful for the life that I have been given and want to make the best of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to serve a mission because i love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grew up as a Mormon and have seen the blessings in my life through living the Gospel. I have felt the happiness that this Gospel has brought me and I want to share that happiness with other people and give to them what I have. I have been blessed with a family that loves and cares for me. In the Church, families are central to God's plan for us. Knowing that I can spend forever with my family gives me hope. We are God's children and He is our Father in Heaven. He wants us all to return home and live with Him again. I know that there is a life after death and that doing the best we can here on Earth will enable us to return home to live with our Father in Heaven again. The Church of Jesus Christ has provided me with this knowledge and testimony and I'm greatful to be a member.

How I live my faith

One of the ways I strive to live my life is through example and by doing what I know to be right. Making right choices brings happiness into my life. By serving a mission, I have chosen to give up two years of my life to serve the Lord full time. By giving up two years of my life, I hope to be able to provide other people with the opportunity to spend forever with their families as well. Being a missionary is very rewarding; you get to see first hand the change that people go through as they become closer to their Savior, Jesus Christ. I want all people to have this experience and by serving a mission I hope to share His message with as many people as I can.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Ben
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I know that Jesus Christ was the only perfect One to live on this Earth. In order to return home and live with our Father in Heaven again. Heavenly Father knew we would sometimes make wrong choices. He provided a way for us to be forgiven of our sins. He provided a Savior, Jesus Christ, who suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross so that when we repent we can be forgiven. I know that the power of the Atonement is real. I have seen it work in my own life as well as in peoples' lives around me. Only throught Christ's Atonement can we be made whole. Show more Show less
